Privacy policy
How WorkBridge Solutions collects, uses and protects personal information on this website and when your organization tries, buys or gets support for ConnectSMS.
The short version
- We collect what you choose to send us, mainly through the contact form, and the license details Salesforce shares with us when your organization installs ConnectSMS.
- ConnectSMS runs inside your Salesforce org. The records, phone numbers and messages it handles stay in your org and your Twilio account. No ConnectSMS server stores or relays them, and we can't see them unless you give us login access for support.
- If you write to us, we may also send you emails about ConnectSMS. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
- We don't sell personal information or share it with advertisers. This site uses no analytics service.
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
Who we are
ConnectSMS is published by WorkBridge Solutions LLC ("WorkBridge Solutions", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit this website (the "site") and when your organization evaluates, buys or gets support for ConnectSMS. We're responsible for that information.
This policy doesn't cover the data your organization stores and processes with ConnectSMS in its own Salesforce org. Your organization controls that data, as ConnectSMS and your org's data explains.
Information we collect
What you give us
- The contact form. Your first and last name, business email, company and country, your phone number if you add it, the answers you pick (how many Salesforce users you have, your current SMS provider, your approximate monthly messages and what you'd like to achieve) and your message.
- Emails, calls and meetings. What you tell us when you write to us or talk with us.
- Customer details. The names, email addresses and roles of the people who buy, administer or get support for ConnectSMS, and the billing details we need to invoice your organization. This site doesn't take payments.
What Salesforce shares with us
ConnectSMS is listed on Salesforce AgentExchange. When someone in your organization installs it, starts the free trial or buys licenses, Salesforce shares license and contact details with us as the app's publisher. That usually includes the name, email address and company of the person who installed it, your Salesforce org ID and edition, and the number, status and dates of your licenses. Salesforce may also give us information about how the package is used, such as which ConnectSMS features are used and how often. It doesn't include the contents of your records or messages.
What's collected automatically
- Server logs. The service that hosts this site records standard details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.
- No analytics service. This site doesn't use an analytics or advertising service. Its scripts note events such as button clicks inside the page, but nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. If we add an analytics service, we'll name it here first.
- reCAPTCHA. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to check that you're not a robot. It loads when you start filling in the form, and Google then receives information about your device and how you interact with the check, under Google's privacy policy and terms.
The ConnectSMS Assistant
The assistant in the corner of each page runs entirely in your browser. It answers from this site's own content, and your questions aren't sent to an AI service or stored on a server. Your conversation is kept in your browser so it continues from page to page, and it's cleared when you close the tab.
ConnectSMS and the data in your Salesforce org
ConnectSMS is a managed package that runs inside your Salesforce org. The records it texts from, and the phone numbers, messages, templates, opt-outs and delivery statuses it handles, are stored in your org and protected by your Salesforce security model. To send and receive texts, ConnectSMS calls Twilio's API with your own Twilio account, and Twilio keeps its own message logs on that account. For MMS, Twilio and the carriers receive a copy of the file to deliver it. No ConnectSMS or WorkBridge Solutions server stores or relays your messages.
- Your organization is in control. It decides what's stored, who can see it and how long it's kept, and it's responsible for that data under the laws that apply to it. Salesforce and Twilio handle it under your organization's own agreements with them.
- We don't have access to it. If you ask for help and grant our support team login access through Salesforce, we use that access only to help with your request, for as long as you allow.
Security explains how ConnectSMS protects your Twilio connection and keeps conversations private, and the Twilio integration shows how a text travels between Salesforce and Twilio.
If you received a text from a business that uses ConnectSMS
Businesses use ConnectSMS to send texts from their own Salesforce org and Twilio account. We don't send those messages, choose who receives them or keep your phone number. To find out why you were texted, or to see or delete your information, contact the business that texted you. To stop its texts, reply STOP.
How we use information
- To reply to you and follow up on what you asked for, such as a demo or a pricing question.
- To send you occasional emails about ConnectSMS, such as new features, guides and offers, after you've written to us.
- To provide ConnectSMS trials, licenses and support, and to manage our relationship with your organization, including billing.
- To tell customers about things that affect the ConnectSMS they use, such as security or product updates.
- To keep the site and the contact form secure, including filtering spam.
- To understand which pages and features interest people, so we can improve the site and ConnectSMS.
- To meet legal obligations, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
When you write to us through the contact form, we may add you to our email list for news about ConnectSMS. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time. Unsubscribing doesn't stop us answering your questions. We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases: our legitimate interests in answering enquiries, running and securing our business, improving the site and product, and sending news about ConnectSMS to people who have asked about it; performing a contract with your organization, or taking the steps you ask for before one; meeting our legal obligations; and your consent, where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
How we share information
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers that run parts of our business for us, under contracts that limit how they use it: Salesforce, which runs our customer records and receives what you send through the contact form; the company that hosts this website; our email provider; Google, which provides the reCAPTCHA check on the contact form.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our customers, the public or us.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, where the information stays protected by this policy.
- With your permission, or when you ask us to.
We never share phone numbers you give us with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies and browser storage
This site doesn't set cookies of its own. It keeps a few things in your browser's storage so the site works better for you:
| Name | Kept | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
csms_assistant, csms_assistant_jump |
Until you close the tab | Your conversation with the ConnectSMS Assistant, and the section a link in it is taking you to |
csms-contact:sent-at |
Until you clear it | When you last sent the contact form, so a second message within ten minutes can be treated as possible spam |
csms-guide:twilio-console, csms-checklist:… |
Until you clear it | The Twilio Console you chose and the go-live checklist items you ticked in the setup guide |
None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. Google reCAPTCHA, which loads when you start filling in the contact form, may set its own cookies. You can clear it in your browser's settings at any time, and the site still works without it.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. We keep enquiries while we're in touch with you and for a reasonable time afterwards, and customer and license records while your organization uses ConnectSMS and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting and other legal obligations require. After that, we delete or anonymize it. If you unsubscribe from our emails, we keep your email address on a do-not-email list so we don't email you again.
How we protect information
We keep personal information in services with strong security controls, such as Salesforce for our customer records, and limit access to the people who need it to do their work. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we can't guarantee its security, but we'll tell you and the relevant authorities about a breach where the law requires it.
International transfers
We and our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries where we or they operate, and their data protection laws may differ from yours. Where the law requires it, we protect transfers with recognized safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information deleted;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it, including for direct marketing;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent you've given; and
- exercise these rights without being treated differently for doing so.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we'll reply within the time the law allows. Where the law permits, someone you authorize can make a request for you. If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
If your request is about data your organization keeps with ConnectSMS in its Salesforce org, please contact your organization. It controls that data, and we'll help it respond where we can.
California residents. In the last 12 months we've collected the categories of personal information this policy describes: identifiers and contact details, professional and company information, commercial information about licenses, and internet activity on this site. We collected them from you, from Salesforce and from your browser, for the purposes in How we use information. We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Children
This site and ConnectSMS are for businesses, not children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when our practices change, and the date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we'll also give notice in a more visible way, such as a note on this site or an email to customers.
